This year, Amazon Prime Day, the retailer's biggest sale of the year is set to be bigger than ever. Instead of two days of deals as shoppers have gotten in the past, Amazon Prime Day 2025 will stretch across four full days in July from the 8th through the 11th.
In early July, members will get access to exclusive Prime Day deals on top products from brands like Apple, Samsung, Bose, Blink and more. While some deals are available to all shoppers regardless of membership, you'll want to join Amazon Prime to get full (and early) access to the very best Prime Day deals rolling out this year.
Not sure if Amazon Prime is worth it? While there are plenty of perks to membership, the good news is you don't have to commit to the $14.99 per month or $139 per year just yet. You can sign up for a 30-day free trial to get full access to the sale and then decide if the other Amazon Prime benefits make it worth keeping the membership. When is Amazon Prime Day?
This year, Amazon Prime Day runs from July 8 through July 11. The first round of deals officially dropped at 12:01 a.m. PDT (3:01 a.m. EST) and the sale will run until midnight on July 11 (3:00 a.m. on July 12 in EST). For the first time in Prime Day history, shoppers have four full days to shop deals across thousands of products.
Be sure to check back daily, too, because Amazon is launching a new feature called "Today's Big Deals." Each day of the sale, the retailer will launch new themed daily deals from major brands.

Do you have to be a Prime member to shop Amazon Prime Day deals?
While there are some deals available to all shoppers, many of the best Amazon Prime Day deals will be members' only. So to make sure you can snag the best prices on the items on your wish list, sign up for membership before July 8.
Thanks to the 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime available right now, you'll be able to join in time for Prime Day this week before committing to the monthly or annual fee.
Anti-Prime Day sales at rival retailers in July
Amazon isn't the only retailer trying to woo inflation-weary shoppers with a bigger-than-ever summer sales event. We've also got our eyes on rival sales from competitors like Walmart and Target.
Here are the competing Prime Day sales we know about so far, if you want to see what alternatives to Amazon Prime are out there before placing your orders:
- Walmart Deals Week: From July 8 through 13, Walmart is running a sale that will slash prices on tech, toys, fashion, home goods and more. And Walmart+ members get to access the deals a full day earlier, starting on July 7. With major brands like Apple, Samsung and Dyson on sale at both Walmart and Amazon, we'll be sure to track prices at both retailers to help you find the very best deal.
- Target Circle Week: This year, Target Circle Week will run from July 6 through 12. The member's only sale will feature deals on school supplies and toys as well as premium brands like Keurig and Dyson. While it's member's only, the basic Target Circle membership is free, so there's little risk in signing up to shop.
- Best Buy's Black Friday in July: From July 7 through 13, the tech retailer is hosting a rival Prime Day sales event that's gearing up to be a better deal for all your tech-related needs. While prices across some of the most popular deals are similar at both retailers, Best Buy has a wider variety of premium tech and appliances on sale this week compared to Amazon.
